The Green Bay Packaging Art Fair will offer festival patrons a chance to view and purchase the works of 200 fine artists from throughout the country. Exhibited for sale will be original works representing various media forms including basketry, ceramics, fiber art, glass, graphic art, jewelry, metalsmithing, painting, paper art, photography, sculpture and woodwork. (See Artists listing).
Demonstrations at Artstreet provide a view of artists and their work during the creative process. Patrons will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the artist's work. Demonstrating artists will also have work on display available for purchase.
The newARTS Art Raffle will feature over 100 pieces of fine art, ranging in retail value from $25.00 to $500.00, which have been donated by Artstreet exhibitors. A fabulous collection will be represented - everything from jewelry and photography to ceramics and sculpture. Each art piece will be raffled separately. This process will allow people the chance to put as many tickets as they want towards a particular piece. Proceeds from the raffle will support newARTS and its many programs including scholarships for college and high school students; its regranting program; professional growth opportunities for artists; educational outreach programs; and general support of newARTS.
There will be continuous performances and entertainment on two stages highlighting a blend of jazz, blues, classical, theatre, and dance. Visitors will encounter street performers throughout the event (see Entertainment schedule for details).
Artstreet offers a multitude of creative activities for children including a variety of make and take arts and crafts projects such as fun pin wheels, bracelets, painting, and beautiful butterfly ornaments. At the Children's Art Tent children can make their own art purchase. Art pieces have been generously donated by exhibiting artists and range in price from $1 to $10.
Information booths and special exhibits by community organizations are represented on Cultural Street. Visitors will learn valuable information about the many cultural organizations in the Green Bay area.
Sanimax Recycle Street will feature interactive, fun and educational activities highlighting ways to use discarded objects. There will be artist demonstration of creating artwork with used and found items. In 2008 the Brown County Port and Solid Waste Department had an educational display focusing on composting, vermiculture and organic plastics. Sanimax, a company that creates environmentally responsible solutions for the food, agribusiness and renewable energy industries, presented information on how they recycle material into high quality products.

In 2008 Cerebral Palsy, Inc. sponsored an art day for persons with disabilities using adaptive art tools. The human need for creative expression is a primary need, necessary for self-fulfillment and identity. Too often, the disabled are left outside of the creative process due to lack of fine motor skills or other impairments. For individuals with disabilities, art is an activity in which they can excel, given the opportunity. Individuals that experience this Arts For All art day are active participants and will take artwork home with them.
You don’t need to be a Picasso or Rembrandt to participate in the Baylake Bank Monster Mural at Artstreet. The Mural lets attendees of ALL ages participate together in something huge! So, grab a paint brush and be part of this life size coloring book.
