SPECIAL EVENTS
The Green Bay Packaging Art Fair offers festival patrons a chance to view and purchase the works of 200 fine artists from throughout the country. Exhibited for sale is original works representing various media forms including basketry, ceramics, fiber art, glass, graphic art, jewelry, metalsmithing, painting, paper art, photography, sculpture and woodwork. (See Artists listing).
The Baylake Bank Artist Demonstration area provides a view of artists and their work during the creative process. Art Demonstrations include sculpture, blacksmithing, glass, polymer clay, and spinning and weaving. Patrons will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the artist’s work.
The newARTS Art Raffle features over 100 pieces of fine art which are donated by Artstreet exhibitors. A fabulous collection is represented - everything from jewelry and photography to ceramics and sculpture. Each art piece is raffled separately. Proceeds from the raffle supported newARTS and its many programs including scholarships for college and high school students; professional growth opportunities for artists; educational outreach programs; and general support of newARTS.
There is continuous performances and entertainment on the Smet Construction Services Main Stage and the Community Stage highlighting a blend of jazz, blues, classical, theater, and dance. Visitors can also encounter street performers throughout the event (see Entertainment schedule for details).
The Associated Bank Children's Area offers a multitude of creative activities for children including a variety of arts and crafts projects such as painting, wizard wands, flower pots, and paper hats. Children cab also participate in interactive music and dance activities. They can learn to play a variety of rhythm instruments and have fun expressing themselves through dance. At the Children's Art Tent children can make their own art purchase. Art pieces are generously donated by exhibiting artists and range in price from $1 to $10.
Information booths and special exhibits by non-profit community organizations are represented on Festival Foods Cultural Street. Visitors can learn valuable information about the many cultural organizations in the Green Bay area, including a number of visual and performing arts organizations as well as social and multicultural organizations.
Sanimax Recycle Artstreet features interactive activities highlighting ways to use discarded objects. There is demonstrations of creating artwork with used and found items. Sanimax, a company that creates environmentally responsible solutions for the food, agriculture and renewable energy industries, show how they convert recycleable material into high quality products.
The Edible Arts area boasts an array of excellent items to sample. Patrons can choose from Greek, Vietnamese, Mexican, Mediterranean, Australian and other gourmet specialties. A sampling of menu items include:

Palermo's Pizza - Pepperoni, Sausage & Cheese Pizza Outback Jack's Australian Barbecue - Lemon Peppered Steak, Shrimp, Chicken and Sausage Pita Sandwiches
Other favorites included cheese curds, French fries, crab rangoon, kettle corn, and funnel cakes. An assortment of taste tempting treats such roasted almonds, fruit smoothies, gourmet coffees and ice cream are offered.

Located on Festival Foods Cultural Street, the literary arts area includes a variety of activities such as book signings featuring local fiction and non-fiction authors as well as children’s writers.
The first annual Young Artisans' Event in the Children's Area showcases young artists ages eight to eighteen. Displaying and selling their artwork, young budding artists have the opportunity to experiene an art fair alongside seasoned professionals who participate in art shows around the country!
